French Art Deco Signed Bronze Statue with decorative base

Rare Art Deco bronze depicting a gentle figural woman and deer scene.
The original marble base has black and brown marbles, with a bronze sculptured plaque on the face,
showing leaping grown deer (one with antlers) in a highly stylized forrest or field.
The reclining woman has a short 1920's bob hairstyle and is wearing a draped gown and ballet slippers, 
with two young deer, one laying beside her, the other standing, with her hand stroking his face.

The small scale bronze statue and plaque have a beautiful Verdigris patina. 
Signed 'Villemon' and 'Bronze' in the bronze marquette.
A nice piece to display on a console or sofa table.

Dimensions: 16 7/8 " wide, 9 1/8" high, 2 7/8" deep.

Condition: In excellent original condition.
