French Art Deco Figural Circus Dancer Statue
Circa 1930's, Limousin, France

 

Classic French art deco dancer, cold painted silver finish, over a spelter base. Patina intact.
She is wearing a short roman style gown, with gilded bracelets or rings on her arms, balancing on one foot.
She has a short bob style 1920's haircut. Mounted on a dramatic black marble and green onyx pedestal base.
Cast signature on Figure: Limousin, which is a beautiful region in France, known for artists who created in metal, ceramics and glassware. 

Dimensions:  20 5/8" high, 14 1/4" wide at top. Base is 5" x 5".

Condition: In very good original condition, showing age appropriate wear to the silvered finish. 
The original marble base has a chip on the very bottom corner. 
The green onyx base has a crack on one of the side panels and under her foot.
