French Art Deco Whippets or Greyhound Statue

Large scale statues that pay tribute to the graceful form of the whippet or greyhound,
one of the Art Deco period's favorite breeds in art.
Spelter figures with a bronze finish, mounted on a black and beige onyx base.
Ideal gift for enthusiasts of this breed.

Signed 'Rochard' in the marble base.
Irenee Rochard was a well know French sculptor in the art deco period.
She favored animals and was a prolific sculptor.
We have other statues by this artist, as she does very fine work.

Dimensions: 27 1/4" wide, 17 3/4" high, 9 1/8" deep.

Condition: In very good original condition, with age appropriate wear.
Base has missing black marble sections on the side, which will be replaced upon request.
