Sculptor: Georges Coste 'Best Friends'
Circa 1930's, France 
Wonderful large scale bronze
sculpture/ statue depicting a woman with her best friend.
She is nude with a short bob hairstyle, the dog appears to be a
Russian wolfhound.
She has a soft, beautiful face and the dog is resting his head on
her lap, looking up at her adoringly.
The bronze has an overall dark black rich patina. The scale and
proportions on this are perfect.
Signed: Georges Coste in the bronze and 'circ perdue susse freres
editeurs Paris' (written and foundry seal).
Georges Coste Bio: Coste was an
early 20th century sculptor, who was born in Romania in
the late 19th century. He was a student of Boucher and exhibited
figures and busts at
Le Salon des Artistes, and was a winner of a third class medal in
1925.

deep, 14 3/8" high.
Condition: In excellent original
condition.
