French Art Deco Figural Silvered Bronze Sea Bird in Flight Statue

French Art Deco bronze statue of a split tailed seabird in flight, swooping down over a crashing wave.

Nice movement and great detail on this small scale bronze. Two tone finish, the bronze wave
is left in a polished bronze finish, with original patina. The bird has wonderful detailing on the wings
and feet and is finished in the original silvering, over bronze-original patina intact.
This bronze looks beautiful on all sides and is perfect to display on a small table or vanity.
Signed in the bronze wave: I. Rochard. Mounted on the original solid black marble base.

Irenee Rochard was a well know French sculptor in the art deco period.
She favored animals and was a prolific sculptor.
We have other statues by this artist, as she does very fine work.

Dimensions: 8" wide, 10 1/8" high, 3 7/8" base.

Condition: in excellent original condition.
