Figural Male Javelin Statue

Athletically built figural Male
statue, with the original dark charcoal bronzed patina that has a
hint of green.
Posed in a partial kneeling position with one arm arched backwards
to throw his javelin (spear).
Wearing nothing but a loincloth, he is focused on his target.
Signed on the original black marble base with a bronze shield
plaque,
authenticating the foundry: "Les Maitres Bronziers Christean".
Artist: Salvator Riolo. Unsigned,
this is one of his better known statues.
Great attention to detail, see the close ups (below) on his hands
and face.
Overall Dimensions: 33 1/4" wide, 15
1/4" high, 7" deep.
Marble Base (only) : 29 1/2" wide, 7" deep, 1 1/2" high.
Condition: In excellent original
condition with original rich, dark patina intact.
Original black marble base. Javelin is removable for safe shipping.
