Pair of French Art Deco Elephant Bookends

Pair of wonderful, silver plated elephant bookends by animal sculptor, H. Moreau.
The elephants trunk are up (for good luck).
Created in a somewhat cubist manner with Bakelite tusks, on the original black porto marble bases. 
Signed in the metal, H. Moreau, who was known as one of the animalier sculptors of the Art Deco era.

Dimensions: 5 1/2" high, 4 3/4" wide, 3 1/4" deep.

Condition: In good original condition, with age appropriate wear and patina intact. 
We have hand polished the silver plated statues.
There is one crack in the metal, on one elephant, by the signature-see photos.
Priced accordingly.
