French Art Deco Period Aged
Mirror, 2
Door Cabinet
Circa 1930’s, France

Small 1930's French aged mirrored
cabinet with pie-crust edge details
and black lacquered base. 2 doors, a easy to place size;
This elegant little cabinet can be used as a nightstand, entry
console or under tv cabinet.
It would be wonderful in a glamorous dressing room or master
bathroom.
The wood backing can be cut or
panels removed if you wish to use this as an audio cabinet. Glass
shelves inside. Mirrored panels on inside bottom of cabinet. The
sides and top are also mirrored with the original aged mirrors.
Dimensions: 40 1/2” wide at base. 31
¾” High, 16 ¼” deep.
Interior dimensions: 15 ¼” wide door opening. 18” wide cabinet-on
each side.
14 ¼” deep, 23 ¾” high inside, with one glass shelf on each side.
Condition: The wood base was
restored with a new black lacquered base in August 2008.
The cabinet itself is in as found condition, with age appropriate
signs of use typical with mirrors.
The small decorative plaque at the top front center has a small
fracture, only noticeable upon
close inspection. (see photos below for close up) The original
handles were removed and
overlay period matching mirrors were placed over the original holes.
This was done to cover an old
crack in the mirror where the handles were originally attached. The
cabinet now has touch latches to open.
You can still see the original holes from the handles inside the
doors. This does not detract from the
beauty and charm of this piece. The added overlay of aged mirror
adds to the decorative nature
of this one-of-a-kind vintage piece.
