Spectacular French Moderne Dining Table with elaborate sunburst marquetry work.
Exotic macassar ebony veneers were expertly patterned to form a geometric sunburst pattern 
on the center of the tabletop, framed in macassar ebony.

Beautiful Macassar Ebony Dining table with unique sculptural base design,
featuring round discs at each end.
Well executed design that is not hidden, even with six dining chairs in place.
Center base stretcher has a decorative nickel plated bronze edge detail
that matches the trim on the base of the server.

Beautiful marquetry tabletop in Rosewood and Mahogany.
Black Lacquer detail trim on tabletop edge and on columns on base legs.
Polished nickel trim decorate the center stretcher rail
that joins the 2 pair of column style legs, each with architectural detailing
and polished nickel trim.

Inlaid border in pale sycamore, with sycamore slide out drawers,
for table linen storage and extension leaf supports at each end.

Intended as a dining table, this would also make a wonderful desk or library table.

French Art Deco Dining Table
Versatile, can also be used as a Desk or Library/ Center Table
Mermaid Mother of Pearl Inlay
In the manner of (possibly) Leleu
Circa 1940's, France

 

Rare and very unusual Rosewood Dining table with Mahogany and Black lacquered accents. Each corner of this rectangular topped table features a figural Mermaid inlay made with exotic woods and Mother of Pearl, linear detail connects the mermaids.

A raised black lacquered trim also borders the tabletop on the apron/sides. Each end pulls out with a small drawer for linens and acts as a support for extension leaves.
Unusual base design is constructed in a double curved design with center stretcher. Polished nickel decorative disc and sphere on each base, with banding on the center stretcher between the ends of the base.

Early transitional design between Craftsman and Art Deco.
Sleek exotic macassar ebony and delicate hand carved oak in an organic pattern
mix the best of both design worlds. Delicate Leaf and acorn details that were clearly hand
carved by a highly skilled craftsman.

Oak table top has a hand carved edge design on all four sides, with rounded corners.
The base is hand carved oak with macassar ebony side panels. Delicate leaves and
acorns are repeated on each base, front and back.
The design is remembered on the tabletop edge design.
