Gilded pair of Designer French
Art Deco Upholstered Occasional Chairs.
Carved wood with gesso, skillfully water gilded with 23 carat German gold.
Twisted rope frame detail with large spheres at the point where
the leg and arms meet.
Carved melon feet that taper and are finished at the floor with
a small sphere finial.
The top back has a decorative center design with a subtle
stylized
floral design, typical of the roaring 20’s in Paris.
Unusual and
elegant design. Very comfortable.

Square design, and only 31" wide, deep and tall, overall.
Sculptural overall design with a tight seat and
back cushions that are firm yet comfortable
and stay tailored looking. The tight seat cushion is sewn into squares
give a modern tufted look with a very 1930’s Modernist feel.
The design is repeated on the back cushion and larger sewn rectangular
design sewn on the sides. Solid back with seams only.
Curved, L shaped satin finished steel legs.
The black leather has a white contrast top stitch detail.
The white leather has a uniform white top stitch.

Well constructed of solid brass, we
have just nickel plated them for a very highly polished silvered

hardwood (white oak) frame and round tubular chrome plated front
legs. Very architectural design.

Trimmed in individual shiny nickel nail heads that have been painstakingly

The nail heads outline the side and back profiles as well as the inside
arms
and also border the macassar ebony base of the chair.
