Pair of Italian Designer Chairs, in
Polished Nickel,
Circa 1950’s, Italy
Recently these elegantly sculpted
chairs
were made popular again by the use of the chairs in a well known hotel project
designed by noted architect/designer Philippe Starck.
Well constructed of solid brass, we
have recently nickel plated them for a very highly polished silvered
look, which is set off nicely by the rich new black velvet
upholstery. Very Glamorous!

configurations.
Macassar Ebony solid frame
with sycamore inlay. Decorative 'dots' border the top edge of the wood back and back area of the arm
rests. Linear inlay of sycamore on the top front area of the arm. Hand Carved melon style feet. You will find a few variations of this chair in the Ruhlmann books.
