Circa 1920’s, France
Bur Amboina with inlay and delicate hand carved details.
Made as a Boudoir / Bedroom Dressing cabinet.
This cabinet would also be ideal for use in an entry foyer,
to use as a decorative coat closet.
Matched exotic veneers of Bur Amboina
are used with inlay details and hand carved floral decoration
on each tall cabinet door.
Bur Amboina is an extinct wood species and was favored by Ruhlmann,
one of the masters of Art Deco furniture.

This vanity came out of an estate in St. Tropez, France,
just down the street from Bridget Bardot's home.
Crème lacquer curved wood legs
on all pieces have just been restored.
The Pair of Chairs have just been re- upholstered in a rich black ultra-suede
and contrast trimmed with a crème ultra-suede welt and buttons
for a very graphic and up-to-date design.

bench with inlay and decoration.
Very heavy, so it would not move during the ship’s voyage.
Custom commission for Egyptian themed Ocean liner “ Mariette Pacha”.
After the discovery of King Tut’s tomb, all things Egyptian
became very en vogue during the Art Deco era.
