floating attached nightstands.
Sycamore, exotic Macassar ebony and black lacquer. One of the best suites we
have ever offered.
The symmetrically designed armoire features left
and right doors (interior has adjustable shelves)
opened by sleek metal and wood Modernist door pulls. The pulls feature a
unusual red ‘half sphere’ design. The center bank of 5 dovetailed drawers each
open with one single cylinder shaped wood pull, painted in black lacquer.
Above the center bank of drawers is a open shelf for books or display.
The Sycamore door edges/ cabinet sides are curved
at ends and capped with a square edge end section of exotic Macassar ebony,to
match the raised plinth base the armoire is resting on.
The bed frame is mainly sycamore, with two (left
and right) attached floating open nightstands, each with 2 shelves. The curve
on the nightstands repeats the design of the armoire cabinet ends. The base
and center section of the footboard resembles the base and side design of the
armoire in macassar ebony. The ends of the footboard are also curved like the
armoire ends.
Currently this art deco bed is in the original
queen size.
This could be respectfully converted into a king size bed by our skilled
carpenter.
He would split the headboard in the centerand add a raised center panel of
macassar ebony,
to compliment the footboard design. The footboard would remain the same and
can be used as shown with new sideboards that wrap around the front corners,
to form a platform style bed.
Or.. it can simply be used to attach to the foot of the bed and eliminate any
sideboards.

Overall Headboard and nightstand dimensions: 92

is deeper under the bed frame).

condition, with a few repairs done over the years on the edges of the
armoire’s curved doors and top edge of the footboard. (see photos below)

without a fresh coat of polish.

polish.
