Art Deco Fireplace Screen
Circa 1930’s Iron Recent conversation to a fireplace screen

Cast
Iron Architectural Element, in original condition, with a wonderful patina
intact. Vivid green original paint on the center architectural element. The recent conversion is made with a steel grey iron base and frame,
with a mesh screen backing. There is a light patina that blend the new sections in well with the center
design.

Edgar Brandt Circa 1920’s, France
Classic French Art Deco hand wrought and hand
hammered wrought iron standing fire screen. Clear beveled glass cover, framed in detailed iron design. The corners feature a ‘potato peel” rosette that was made famous by Edgar
Brandt.

Circa 1920's, France
Wrought iron with polished and hammered finish.
Classic art deco cubist rose center design, popularized by Brandt in
the early 1920‘s.
Folded foot with edge pattern, decorative stepped fan detail at top.
Early 1920’s France. 22 ½” wide, 28 ¼” high.
IN EXCELLENT RESTORED CONDITION.

We are now offering solid bronze reproductions made from an original shield.

Limited supply available, cast of solid bronze.
These shields are an icon of Art Nouveau design.
Made from an original shield (that we have already sold),
the details and wonderful design were preserved in our custom mold.
As they are solid bronze, they are quite heavy, but can be used for a multitude
of uses,
such as a firescreen (add a custom stand) or wall decoration.
Use a a balcony rail decoration as used on the Paris Metro stations.
